Well, I’m semi-retired in that I work from home on my own hours. It’s nice work if you can get it, but the pay sucks.

I only use an alarm when I have an appointment or something, and then I use my phone. I have a fancy Bose CD/Alarm clock, but I use it to tell the time, not to get me up.

Yes, I think Alarm clocks are one of the worst designed Human Machine interfaces in the modern technology. I had the similar issues in US hotels.

Hi Josh,
Good points. But my initial lazy-butt response for why alarm clocks suck is: because they wake me up!! I long for the days when I can get up when I want. Hmmm…that might not ever happen, even when the kids are out of the house. Well, maybe in retirement.

Love the design points you made though!
